So you’ve been thinking about Yoga Teacher Training. And you don’t intend to teach.
That was me 7 years ago.
Only about half of the students who seek a yoga certification intend to use their certification to teach.
I had no idea that this was true when I signed up for training. In fact, everyone enrolled in the training I joined had teaching goals . . . except me.
So, why would someone invest the time and money if they didn’t intend to teach? It’s a 200-hour training commitment and thousands of dollars.
Here’s why:
- To strengthen their personal practice
- To engage in self-study and deep inner work
- To have a path for deeper study of the 8 limbs of yoga
- To challenge themselves – physically, mentally and spiritually
- To connect with like-minded people on a path of personal growth
If any of these reasons resonate with you, I encourage you to start looking at training options. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made. And by the way, I’ve been teaching ever since.
