I went down a rabbit hole again and might have just found the fountain of youth.

As a yoga, breathwork, and meditation teacher, I love exploring research that highlights the scientific benefits of these practices. There’s an incredible amount of research out there—randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses—all indicating various health benefits.

Reviewing the numerous studies for benefits, I was blown away by the cognitive advantages.

Movement, breathwork, and meditation all improve brain function, enhancing cognitive reserves and slowing the aging process.

Specific improvements were noted in:

  • Attention
  • Working memory
  • Spatial abilities
  • Emotional control
  • Stress levels
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Long-term memory

Despite the extensive list of benefits, it’s frustrating that our medical system continues to prioritize prescription drugs for physical, psychological, or cognitive dysfunctions.

We must each take responsibility for our health.

Scientific research proves we can mitigate the effects of aging by engaging in daily movement, breathwork, and meditation.

If including these three practices in your daily routine sounds complicated, please know it doesn’t need to be.

I welcome you to my studio for a private or group session.

If you’re new to these practices, there are plenty of simple options.

If you’re interested in a daily practice to suit your individual needs, schedule a private session package. I’ll work with you to create a customized home practice to meet your specific goals.

Need a quick fix? I designed a 15-minute practice that includes breathwork, meditation, and movement. This is a great solution when life sneaks up on you, and you can’t get to the studio or find time for a longer session. This short practice is a great way to gain clarity and energy any time of day.

Want to age gracefully? Incorporate yoga, breathwork, and meditation into your daily routine. As a result, you’ll boost your overall well-being, experience better physical and mental health, and sharpen your mind.
