In January of 2023, I signed up for Dickie Bush & Nicolas Cole’s cohort-based course, Ship 30 for 30.

In 30 days, I wrote & published 30 Atomic Essays, learned the fundamentals of Digital Writing, made friends, and thoroughly enjoyed being part of a group of top-notch, motivated people who are going places.

It has been a rewarding journey. It pushed me. Juggling the FT gig and the PT yoga gig and the writing and traveling and . . . some days were easy and some were really, really hard. But I got it done. Every. Dang. Day.

Here are the 3 biggest things writing & publishing consistently every day for 30 days taught me:

1. Accountability is everything

I love joining trainings and groups like this because when I commit to something, I accomplish it. Every. Time.

2. Action brings results

I’ve been THINKING about writing for years. But I wasn’t sure where to go with it or what my niche might be. I was paralyzed. In order to define my niche, I needed to write and publish. The process taught me what I enjoy writing about and what topics spark interest.

3. How to move forward

I have drawn upon the content for my blog and have a list of ideas for next steps. I broke out of inaction. Here’s to the next chapter!

If you have been thinking about getting started writing online, let me know. I’m happy to share more about the Ship30 experience and what I learned.
